Complex Litigation Associate - Las Vegas, NV
A national law firm is seeking a skilled Complex Litigation Associate to join its Las Vegas office. This is a long-term opportunity for a motivated attorney with 3-8 years of experience in defense litigation, particularly in areas such as personal injury, general liability, transportation, and catastrophic injury.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a full litigation caseload independently, from inception through resolution. This includes trial preparation, court appearances, mediations, depositions, and collaboration with senior attorneys and partners. The role offers direct client interaction and the chance to work with sophisticated matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
• Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies
• Maintain organized case files and meet deadlines efficiently
Qualifications:
• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in Nevada
• 3-8 years of defense litigation experience, ideally in personal injury, transportation, or general liability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Client-facing experience preferred
